Industry skill gap summit

Early Childhood Education and Paraeducation
Green River's Kent Station Campus
March 19th, 2013 from 8:30 - 10:30 am

WHO:  We need employers who can speak with us about current and future hiring trends/skill gaps in Paraeducation and Early Childhood Education.

WHAT:  The Center of Excellence for Careers in Education is supporting the work of Washington’s community and technical colleges by hosting an Industry Skills Gap Summit.  The Summit will feature a breakout forum on Early Childhood Education and Para-education.

WHY:  The purpose of this meeting is to obtain “real time” information from education employers about expected job growth trends over the next three to five years and to discuss workforce skills gaps that make filling job vacancies difficult for employers within the industry.

Feedback from the forum participants will help the State’s community and technical colleges make good decisions about their workforce programs to educate a highly skilled and competitive workforce.

WHEN:  We invite you to participate in this important event on March 19th, 2013.  Coffee and refreshments will be available at 8 am.  The forum will begin at 8:30 am and conclude by 10:30 am.

WHERE:   Green River’s Kent Station campus.  Please click here for directions to Kent Station.  No parking permit required.

HOW:  Please register online here.  RSVP no later than March 8th.  If you have questions or experience difficulty registering, contact us at 253-833-9111 x4360.

Thank you! We are looking forward to seeing you at the forum.
